A very slow, expressive solo for clarinet and piano accompaniment. Rhapsody owes a lot to the spirit of the Adagio from Joaquin Rodrigo's Concerto de Aranjuez. There is a contrasting middle section in the major key and then a return to the opening E minor material where the clarinet-writing becomes more expansive as the piece progresses.
