Ian and Isobel Robinson wrote "He is exalted" back in the early Nineties [I assume - this might need checking] and it is an energetic outpouring of praise to God. The opening two verses are in unison with plenty of rhythmic interest but then there is a gentler passage in simpler block harmony, first two- and then four-part, to the words "His name is high above all names. His love endures for all mankind". The second rendition leads to a surprising shift to Db major which lifts the song towards a recapitulation of the opening music, this time in F major, and the whole piece comes to a triumphant climax with a crescendo to fortissimo at the words "He is exalted Lord most high!"
