This march was composed in the early Spring of 1990 after being inspired by the local skydivers practicing their hobby at Geiteryggen Airfield in Skien, Norway. Particularly bold and spectacular I found those diving in free fall for about half a minute before unfolding their parachutes just before, so it seemed, hitting the ground.
In my view they are the real Skydivers, but the march is a homage to all who practice this thrilling activity and to their courage and skills.
