The purposed of these duets is to provide practice for the rhythms which most frequently cause problems for pupils. They start with the top part playing the rhythm in question while the lower part breaks it up into its component parts. The the top part plays the rhythm over the beat of the tempo and finally both parts play the same rhythm. This book is compatible with the Clarinet Edition .By using both books, they could be played by alto saxophone and clarinet. A separate Tenor Sax Edition (giving the Lower Part only) is also available, enable Alto and Tenor Sax to play together.
