Originally called Quintet for Brass No.2, but was retitled in August 2009 to Brass Quintet to avoid confusion as Quintet No.1 was never published.
The work is in three movements:
- Prelude - a lively and rhythmic opening movement
- Memories - written in the form of a trombone solo
- Scherzo - a prestissimo 6/8 finale
