Another classic from the pen of Sy Oliver, and a famous tune for the Dorsey band, though much copies and adapted by other bands. Anito O'Day recorded a vocal version with Gene Krupa, and Ted Heath used it as a stock chart. This is per the original, though lacks the strings used by Dorsey in the original arrangement. A string part is available on reuqest. Both Alto Saxes double Clarinet (for the great middle passage of Clarinets over a pair of muted trumpets), and the lead Alto takes both Clarinet solos, which are written out. Likewise, the Piano solo is written out. This is a medium to advanced chart in terms of difficulty. By far the trickiest bit is the semi quaver, semitonal sax run which introduces the key change into the last chorus. Nimble fingers are needed! Duration 2' 55' Grade: Medium-Advanced
