George Frederic Handel's Messiah holds a special place of importance in the concert repertoire, being frequently performed not only at Christmas, but also at Easter and other times of the year. This arrangement is an important addition to the grade 3 string orchestra library because it allows students to perform this wonderful chorus without full symphonic instrumentation, and it highlights both the chorus and orchestra parts. Third position is required of 1st Violin, with limited position work in the cello and bass parts; some upper string parts are divisi as well. Students will enjoy having the opportunity to perform this well-known and beloved chorus. Duration 5:15.
