Each selection in this set of 16th century dances written for the French royal court follows a simple AABB form and features either root or first inversion triads exclusively. All three dances are scored in the C Dorian mode, and the set can easily be used to create antiphonal presentations featuring two quartets playing alternate sections or phrases. Includes: Bransle Gay; Bransle De Champaigne; Bransle De Bourgogne. Duration ca. 3:00
