Leave it to master arranger Roy Phillippe to create the most playable version of Caravan ever available and yet keep it very hip. The arrangement has very few eighth note rhythms, and a lot of unison scoring. It's that easy! The chart is also playable by a reduced size ensemble. A trombone solo on the bridge is written out, or it can be improvised. Roy has even given young students the opportunity to play voicings in the Duke Ellington style near the end of this chart. It all adds up: this should be in every young band's library!
