Recorded in 1972, Chick Corea's Return to Forever album is recognised as one of the landmark albums of jazz fusion. Along with the jazz standard La Fiesta, the mesmerising ballad introduced on this album was Crystal Silence. Mike Tomaro does a marvellous job of maintaining the ethereal and lush qualities of the original in this outstanding setting for jazz ensemble.
