These days, many concert bands celebrate their centenary – this provided a good reason to compose the Centennial Celebration. This work has a festive, harmonious and optimistic vibe. A joyful introduction is followed by a lyrical passage with an enticing melody, after which the same theme can be heard in a pop style variation. Next is a kind of trio with a melody that will linger in your mind. Lively sounds bring us back to the lyrical main theme once more, but this time exuberant, like a pop ballad. Finally, we hear the festive sounds of the introduction again, now as a lustrous conclusion.
