Italian composer Gioacchino Rossini is undoubtedly best known forhis opera The Barber of Séville. This opera features the sopranoaria 'Una voce poco fa', which has been performed by many divasincluding Maria Callas, Teresa Berganza and Kathleen Battle. Thistranscription by Gerard Posch has been written for alto saxophoneand concert band, however the saxophone solo can also be sungby a soprano - as in the original aria 0:05:40
