This volume contains four wonderful works by lesser known Baroque composers. Like most composers of that era, Georg Muffat, Francesco Durante and Josef Ferdinand Norbert Seeger wrote mostly church music, such as masses, motets and psalms. They are not as famous as their contemporaries Bach, Handel and Vivaldi, but their music is certainly also worthwhile. Roland Kernen has arranged the works in this edition for four-part variable line-up.
