Spaghetti Tornado is an original work for beginning steel band by Kirk J. Gay. This work, dedicated to his daughter Kenna, is inspired by a painting that she did of a swirling tornado made of spaghetti! The piece uses chromatic scales and moves the main melody between the upper and lower voices, providing variety and excellent teaching and learning opportunities. This is sure to be a favorite of performer and audience alike. It is written for lead, double tenor, double second, cello/guitar, bass pans, bass guitar (optional) and drumset.
