Although the copyright date is 1939, the only performance of this piece is the Victor recording from 1941. This obscure piece never achieved the mild popularity of Ellington's other 2 Latin masterpieces of that era- Conga Brava and Flaming Sword, but don't sell this gem short just because you never heard of it.
