SATB/AATB. Bb-Flat-A-Loogoo is a boogaloo to be played in straight eighths. It has the form of a classic 12-bar blues and is written in Bb concert pitch, a key most frequently used in sessions. Solo parts may be inserted - for instance, after letter E - to provide for additional opportunities for improvisation. The piece can, then, be resumed as written from letter F on cue. During improvisation, the baritone saxophone goes on performing the notated bass figure whereas the remaining three voices can play over the 12-bar blues pattern. Improvising alternately by trading fours might even enhance the attraction of the composition.
