This is an arrangement of the famous spiritual Rise up, Shepherd, by the Canadian Leonard Ballantine. The vocal lines are mostly presented with energy, and for the sopranos, occasionally high, with several top Bbs for the firsts. This big, noisy number has a piano part which requires a competent player, and the addition of drums and bass seems almost compulsory!
