The work is based on three bars from Bach's keyboard prelude BWV 939 in C Major. French Dances Revisited was Premiered in the USA in Minnesota by members of the commissioning consortium on November 7th 2004 and in the UK by the RAF Central Band Chamber Ensemble under Sq. Leader Duncan Stubbs at Colchester a month later on December 8th.
