Commissioned by Banda de Musica Municipal de Silleda (ES), Kevin Houben has written this work for the Certamen de Valencia 2018 in Spain. Where Angels Fly is a very technical, powerful and virtuoso work, with a rather fragile and soft introduction in which the main motif, derived from Paul Gilson's La Priere from Le Retour aux Pays, is developed and also includes Houben's own musical signature, HBE(N). Where Angels Fly is a challenging, impressive and virtuosic contest piece.
