The playful title of this work relates to the much-used glissando playing manner and of course to the important role that the trombones play within a band. Apart from the obligatory glissandi Funny Slides contains much staccato playing together with fine melodic sections. For the musicians as well as the audience, Funny Slides is an attractive and entertaining composition. 04:00
