Style SECOND LINE FUNK Featured on the John Fedchock New York Big Band CD Up & Running, Mr. Dudley is a lively romp for proficient groups utilizing a funky New Orleans "second line" street beat. Solos are assigned to bass clarinet and trumpet, with an optional baritone sax part offered for groups without a bass clarinet. The fun, quirky melody leads to some plunger mute antics with the brass section and as always, you'll get John Fedchock's signature voicings with lots of harmonic integrity. After the trumpet solo, an exciting shout chorus features interjections by a Dixie band (trumpet, bass clarinet, trombone, alto sax).
